Assogiate: Modifying mime types in GNOME

GNOME uses file extensions to determine the filetype but it also sniffs the contents of the file as well. Unlike KDE though, there is no easy of modifying mimetypes, icons, etc. This is where assogiate comes in handy.

I came across it when I wanted to change the icons of jar files but couldn't find an easy way of doing so.
